Hello guys,

I have a question about quartile formula in Ms Excel 2007. The following is the example for this case.

Qty Sales
5 500
4 800
3 1000
2 1500

If we only calculate the quartile based on the sales price, the quartile would be:
Quartile 1 = 725
Quartile 2 = 900
Quartile 3 = 1125

But the result that i'm looking for is as follow:

500, 500, 500, 500,500,800, 800, 800, 800, 1000, 1000, 1000, 1500, 1500

The data also based on the quantity. So the quartile would be
Quartile 1 = 500
Quartile 2 = 800
Quartile 3 = 1000

Please give me advices regarding this matter guys..Thanks for your attention.
