Rich:

I like to start a task from the BCM Contacts view. Right click on the BCM
Contact, choose Create, New Task for Business Contact, and then fill out the
task dialog. That will link the task to the contact and it will show up in
Communications History.

HTH,
Lon

Lon,

In BCM 2003 I could add a contact to a Task from within Task form. I found
this useful for helping me to quickly link to contacts associated with
recurring Tasks. However this capability to add a contact to Task seems to
have been eliminated from BCM 2007. My question is not about history, but
about workflow process. I can still link the Task to the history of a
contact.

Am I missing something?

The function is still there but renamed to Link to Record in the Business
Contact Manager group, on the right side of the ribbon bar, inside the task
form. I just find it's easier (fewer clicks) to start the task by right
clicking on the contact record, then it's automatically linked.

If you search this forum for "BCM Nexus", you'll find some code written to
display the Contacts field the way you remember it from BCM 2003. Still the
same number of clicks, but it looks like it did before.

HTH,
Lon
