I am trying to tie into a JD Edwards application running on an AS400. We
thought we had set up the link correctly but I have 2 problems which may or
may not be connected.

First, when we try to link the table, we need to put the AS400 user name and
password in 2 or 3 times before it will bring up the link tables dialog box.

Second, wen we try to open the table, we again need to put in the user name
and password 2 or 3 times then we get Reserved Error (-7778); there is no
message for this error.

This is new territory for both the JDE programer and me.

We found the answer. Problem solved.

While I'm very happy that you found the issue and solved, do you think
