This great article by Randy Byrne (Building Outlook 2002 Add-ins with Visual
Basic .NET) seems to behave quite well with outlook 2002....... but I
downloaded the source and complied it (compiled fine with no errors or
warnings), but when Outlook 2003 launches, I see nothing! Can someone help
me debug this?

URL for download:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...addinvbnet.asp

Also, if I want the options in the "menu bar" (where you see File Edit View
.........) instead of in the Standard Bar....... what changes I need to do?

All you experts out there.......... please advice.

Did you check Help | About Microsoft Outlook | DIsabled Items? Did you install the PIAs for Office?

If you want the button in the menu bar, then you'll need to change the code to get that bar instead, either by name or ID.

Sue,

Good point...... I had to enable it, and yes the PIAs are installed, and
each time I try running this code from Randy, I get an Outlook popup "Outlook
experienced a serious error the last time the add-in 'OutlookCOMAddVBNET' was
opened. Would you like to disable it........." BTW I select "No" and then
the outlook comes up and I do not see the icon. This is untouched code from
Randy (AS-IS) and Outlook 2003.

Please advice.
