For example, I am interested in organizing so that all my microsoft programs
are are under microsoft or all my graphics programs are under graphic. How do
I create a new "folder"?

If you want them in alphabetical order, right click anywhere in the
list, and choose "Sort by name."

If you want them in some other order, drag and drop them wherever you
want.

I am trying to set up essentially a folder structure. I need to create a
heading like
graphics, then put all my graphics programs in that folder.

Ken

If you want them in alphabetical order, right click anywhere in the
list, and choose "Sort by name."

On my computer that does not work! Why might that be?

What happens is you get two alphabetically ordered lists! The first is
those with sub-menus to the right and the second those without sub-menus
to the right!

Right click the Start button. Select Explore All Users.
Open the Programs folder.
Create a new folder.
Drag the programs you want into the new folder.

Good Luck.
