My mailbox folders are listed in alphabetical order:
Deleted
Drafts
Inbox
Junk
Outbox
..
..
..
(etc.)

Is there a way to change that order?

Several options. I like to put "MY" in front of folders I create so they are
groped togther. You can also apply number or symbols to folders your create.
But a cleaner approach is to copy folders you use frequently to your
"Favorite Folders" where you can drag folders into any order you want.

Naturally, but the OP specifically asked about the default folders, so this
answer doesn't apply.
