arrange icons/choose details in windows explorer

My arrange icons / choose details in windows explorer keeps resetting
itself, assuming that the only thing I will download is mp3 files and will
want to arrange them by track, artist, etc. Is this part of sp2 and is there
anyway to make it remember my preferences?
