desktop icons are "shortcuts"
and can be found in the subfolder's
called "desktop".
if you right click on the start
button you can "explore" the
folder tree.
then you can move shortcuts
from one desktop into another.
however, before you proceed, make
a backup of each desktop folder that contain
a copy of the original shortcuts. then store/move
the backup folders somewhere like my documents.
for example create a folder
called desktop1backup and
copy the shortcuts from one
desktop folder into it.
then store the backup folder
in mydocuments.
that way if you need to
restore the original desktop
folders, you can delete
your modifications and use the
backup'd shortcuts and copy them
back into their original locations.
