So using the pc below and a copy of A+D that I bought from here ( so I'm assuming its a good copy) I tried to load the game twice . Total time wasted 3 hours , am I pi**ed off , you bet I am . Heres what I get after loading all three discs .SEE PICTURES

So what the f**k is going on .

I get to the last picture and thats it the game will not load it just keeps telling me that I do not have direct x then it says its loaded direct x then stops . It just keeps on looping around .

Sad innit, some game writers just don't check for updated DX ...


You are actually running the latest DX9c ... by the looks of it, the 'game' is trying, and insisting, you need DX9b ... Windows is 'clever' enough to not allow the game to load the older DX

Try tellin it NOT to update DX

Failing that ... suggest you ask the Game writers for a 'fix' to their problem ... or ask for your money back.

  - Open the "C:" local drive
  - Open the "Program Files" folder
  - Open the "LucasArts" folder
  - Open the "Armed and Dangerous" folder
  - Open the "Gamedata" folder
  - Double-click the "game.exe" file to start the game
  

You may want to right-click the game.exe file and choose Create Shortcut and then copy this new shortcut to your Windows desktop or Windows Start Menu for the game for easier access.

Thanks guys . I did try trawling the net for info but could only find a no/CD patch no mention of Ians solution . Anyways now up and running and its great fun . Thanks again .
