howdy,

does anyone know of a way to get ArmA to run on Vista64 with a
catalyst driver? it'll load and run jerkily on the stock vista radeon
driver dated august '06, but just black screens on any catalyst driver
from ati's site up to and including 7.5. undoubtedly it's a driver
problem as the game runs on xp/xp64/vista32, but i was wondering if
anyone knew of a kludge...

x1900xt, vista64 ultimate, e6600, 4gb ram
xpsp2 compatibility on the arma.exe, run as administrator

follow-up

i got arma to run under vista64 using catalyst 8.40rc3 by yanking out
2gbs of ram. it'll run on 2gbs of system ram, but not 4. i don't
know if it's ati's fault or BIS' fault that it won't run under 4gbs in
vista64. it will run on xp64 with 4gbs of ram. (?)
