I find that I have multiple copies of files in my archive folders - how has
this happened and can I just delete the multiples? They are clogging up the
system. Also there seems to be a Deleted Items folder with stuff in it, but
the normal Deleted Items folder has "do not archive items in this folder"
flagged so how can this have happened?

Also is it OK to move items around in the archive with drag and drop?

It's hard to say what is going on with at level of detail.
Archive folders are just like any other pst-files. The only difference is
that you can automate the moving of Outlook items from your main message
store to it. So, if there is anything in your Archive folder that you don't
like, just change it or delete the items/folder you no longer want.
