In our organization, we run XP on an exchange (2003) - Our archiving of
outlook files doesn't work well; one has to manually drag and drop files, and
then twice for each one, and as you can imagine, takes a considerable time to
do what ought to be a simple task.

Has anyone a fix for this problem please?

can you explain what happens?

Also I have no idea what you mean by " then twice for each one"

Hi Judy -

Yes, on trying to drag an item to the archive (in this case, stored on my
pc) a message to the effect of "Can't move the items. Some items could not be
moved...etc". If the file is dragged again, then it moves ok. It sometimes
appears that this is happening on files with attachments, but not exclusively
so.

Try googling the EXACT error message you are seeing. Posting part of it
does nothing to help me determine your problem.

I hope this helps you at least a little bit!

The 'exact' wording is thus; "Can’t move the items. Some items could not be
moved. They were either already moved or deleted or access was denied."
Clearly a lie!

I have googled it but it's not really shown anything up - well not anything
that works. Ok, well thanks anyway.
