Archiving - all emails disappeared.

We have been archiving for quite some time. Everything was working
perfectly. Then, out of nowhere is stopped archiving. Well, with one
workstation, the achive file was full - so i created another. Everything was
fine again. On that same workstation, though, everything in the "sent"
archive folder disappeared. I've checked and double checked settings. This
didn't happen to any of the other folders, only "sent". Any advice on where
the items in the sent folder went and how I can get them back?
