Archiving-Adding the modified column?

I have been advised the following: 'Archiving works on the Modified
timestamp, not on the Received timestamp. Add the Modified column if you
want to check what date that archiving will use. For example, you might have
some really old e-mails
in a folder but if you move them then the Modified date changes. Archiving
is to remove unused entried, not old-dated entries. '

How then do I ADD the modified column (where is it?) to the manual archive
request?

Regards

Mike

Hi Diane, You have lost me. I have Outlook 2002. I do not know / understand
how to perform your instructions.

My folders - INbox etc are on the left side and on the right is the list of
email messages that correspond to the folder. IN the lower split of the right
screen is the message when I click on the top message line view.

So where is the 'Custom' or 'field' that I need to review?

I right click the top right pane message and I do not see these options.

Mike
