I have an archive.pst file that shows in the folder list but the user is not
able to close it by clicking on the plus or right clicking on it and
selecting to close it. Drives him crazy so I have been trying to figure this
out. Found suggestion about deleting the profile and starting over (This
would be a last resort)......running the scanpst.exe.

Has anyone ever had this problem and has an answer for fixing it?

does the pst file actually exist on a hard drive somewhere, and if so, did
you run scanpst.exe, and what where the results?

If the pst file does not exis, you only option may be a new profile
