Archive PST folder reports 48003 K in Outlook 2000. Explorer reports 820MB

It is the same file without doubt on a network server. Ran Compact and
scanpst.exe. Everything OK.

What's the problem ?

You'll need to run Compact Now from within Outlook indeed. Run it 3× to get
it shrunk close to the actual size.

Thank you for your msg. It appears to have been corrupt. After backing
it up I wiped every msg from Outlook and it reported 0KB..... still
800MB on server
