Archive File empty

I archived my calendar but the archive file is empty. I checked for the
correct file and found 2 archive files but both are empty.
The file I archived to has 6,500Mb in it but when I go to it I only see
"Deleted Items" and "Search Folders" and they both say "there are no items
in this view"
??
What am I doing wrong?
