Arabic messing up my computer

I study both Arabic and Russian and I need these alphabets installed.
However, since I installed Arabic on my computer, it kind of takes over
*everything*. Word goes into Arabic mode (right to left for everything,
including foot notes), song titles in WMP get a mixture of arabic characters
and the weird signs that appear when Cyrillic isn't read properly (ááåÀa or
something like that).

However, what is now most annoying is that as I installed an offline Russian
dictionary, all the menus are completely messed up *and* the words I try to
look up.

I've tried removing Arabic, but it doesn't change anything.

Pleeeeeeeease someone tell me what to do.

Windows gives you the option of switching keyboard languages,
either with some hotkeys (e.g. Ctrl+Sift) or via the language bar.
I use the Arabic and some European keyboard layouts routinely
and I simply make sure to have the correct language active. Pay
attention to the shape of the "Insertion Point". It has a flag on top
that points to the right for LeftToRight languages, and the other
way for Arabic. The flag is only visible on machines that have
Arabic installed.
Arabic is active, the insertion p

Which automatically starts WWIII and everybody dies! I can't believe
their are people who can't see that! No wonder civilizations hardly ever
makes it past this point in technology.

That I know, altogether I usually have six different languages installed.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that it is impossible to run Mozilla Firefox
since as well. I've reinstalled like 5 times, the program just won't open at
all

I'm beginning to suspect that your language problem is a symptom
of an underlying problem. I run Firefox on countless machines with
no problem at all. Perhaps your machine is infected with some virus
or spyware. You might also have a corrupted profile. Log on under
a different account and see if the problem persists.

I think that won't change much, my bf uses another profile sometimes and I
don't think it works there either (I'll check again though when I'm on that
computer again). The problems started quite right away, I had just bought the
computer (last summer), and it was *immediately* after I installed Arabic.

I would gladly reinstall everything on the computer, but my lazy-ass
boyfriend says he's lost the CD you need to redo everything. Don't really
know what CD he's talking about though.
