Hi,

I am experiencing this very wierd error message whenever I am restarting /
shutting down my laptop. A pop up message comes up stating.....

[ aspnet_state error - Application Error
Instruction at <memory location 1> referenced memory at <memory location 2>.
The memory could not be "read". ]

I am running a genuine copy of Windows XP Professional with SP2 and all
Windows updates have been installed till 20th April 2007. I am running IE 7
and .Net Frameworks 1.0, 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0 are installed on my system.

Could you please help me troubleshoot this issue. Currently I am working as
a Sr. QA Engineer at a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Company.

Hi,

Try uninstalling IIS - then re-install it. Search Microsoft for instructions
on reinstalling ASP.NET for IIS. (Using aspnet_regiis.exe)

A chkdsk /r would be good too.
