Indirectly related to excel (making training video). Can anybody
recommend/suggest a screen capture video app that will run ok on vista 32
bit? Maybe microsoft do something?

Perhaps you can enlighten us as to what the indirect relationship wik Excel is?

Certainly Mike,

I'm making some training material to guide excel novice users through my
home made applications (applications is a bit 'grand' for my creations)

Camtasia Studio from TechSmith (about $300 from
http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.asp) is superb. And in case you're
in the market for a (static) screen capture program, TechSmith's
SnagIT ($50 from http://www.techsmith.com/screen-capture.asp) is the
best there is by a wide margin.

I use both Camtasia and SnagIT regularly and find them exceedingly
well designed and easy to learn.
