Appoinment shift

I enter an appointment for the time I want, then it changes to something else.
Whenever I travel and change timezones, or the automatic daylight savings
time changes, my appointments all shift time and do some very strange things.
All day appoinments stretch over two days, others adjust by 1 to 4 hours
depending upon the change. This is making my calendar useless!

How do I make Outlook keep the appoinment time I put in?
