I have uploaded AppMover to alt.freeware.binaries
in both, as a single large file ... or in 9-parts for assembly.
Take your pick.

Unfortunately, my server only picked up 7 of the 9 parts and forget the
large one, it doesn't show up at all. (One of the disadvantages of this
type of posting) : (

Got it. Thanks. I've run it on xp home and it worked ok. The "About"
section clearly states it can be distributed. I'm archiving it. Do you
have the .hlp file which evidently was part of the original distribution?
The license agreement is supposed to be included in that file. No biggie
really...I like to keep all of the original distribution files together
whenever possible.

Thanks everybody.

the reason I asked . . .

I'd like to add a link in the Program Information pages (preferably to a
description of the program rather than the download).

Hello All,

Just a few minutes ago I downloaded from a alt.binaries.freeware the
program Application Mover V 2.4. I am concerned as to whether or not
this program is truely freeware. Version 2.6 of Application is available
at...
http://www.funduc.com/dwld/amedown.cgi

On this webpage (which is by the people who wrote it) Version 2.6 of this
program is clearly stated as being shareware. Ok, so we know that some
programs go from freeware to shareware. Elsewhere on interrnet I
downloaded a crack for version 2.3 of Application Mover. Hmmm. So, I
sent an email to the publisher asking if this program (specifically
version 2.4) was freeware.

I received the following email from the publishers of Appliction Mover...

Mr. Smith,

"Someone" is mis-informed or using a pirated version. Application Mover
has
always been shareware. v 2.6 is shareware. So is v 2.4.

Regards,

Ken

Unfortunatly, it looks to be a cracked version...from the "About" dialog
box,CrackedReaL|TSRh copy of Application Mover. Please distribute
this version freely. Please see License Agreement for details.

Which is the best reason to be careful where you download programs
purported to be "freeware", and act like it. Beware shopping in
..hu land.

I suspect there is confusion over which program is being talked about. In a
separate thred on this topic, it was mentioned that there was a free program
called AppMover at one time offered by Iomega. I am not sure whether this
is the case or not. But it definitely added to the confusion.
