Is it possible to apply the QFE updates to the OS without using the DUA.
For example, if I were to download a QFE to my image could I just run the
executable?

Hi Sean,
You cannot directly install the QFE executable on your
XPE runtime.Instead you can extract the executables
(dlls/exes) getting replaced by QFE,find out the registry
keys getting modified, and you can write your own script
which would do the same(is, replace files and update
registry).
MS has published a detialed document about how to deploy
QFE's in their website. Also, you can search this newsgroup
to find the same document.

A note of caution, is not all QFEs can be applied by the
above approach.
Thanks
Padma

Padma,
Thank you for your response. I just read the article on how to apply the
blaster update manually and this supports what you are saying. Once again
thank you.
