Hi,
Have an Win2K domain controler. Configured background picture & screensaver via GP.There are few clients Win2000 & 3 WinXP on which the group policy setings do not apply. i have restarted these clients & domain but the GP configured on Dc do not take effect on these few clients while rest it's working fine.
what could be the issue and how can i apply GP on these clients whenever they login.

In which policy did you configure it? Default domain policy, Default domain
controller policy or did you use an own created? How is DNS configured for
your clients, via DHCP or static? Post an ipconfig /all from your DC/DNS
server and a client.

Hi,
All the clients are configure by DHCP , configured under the default domain policy. i have checked the IP config with the clients on which the group policy is successfully appled with clients on which GP is not applied the IP config | DNS is fine but still some of the clients GP isn't applied.

Hello DD,

Can you see the DNS records in your Forward lookup zone? Please again post
the ipconfig /all. Also run a gpresult on the ws to compare it with a running
ws.

The dns entry is already given through ipconfig/all. getting the dns server entry from dhcp server.

The RSOP output states windows 2003 as member server. How is Darshan.diora
working. From the workstation with RDP to the member server? Is the member
server configured for terminal services?

Yes it's member server of the infrasoft.lan domain and i am not using any terminal services of that machine, nor it's configured as terminal server.

Hello DD,

So you log in to the domain with the 2003 server standard edition? It's not
so easy to understand your network. Can you describe it a littlebit more
in detail? How many DC, DNS server, are they all connected in one physical
location, via switches?
