Hi All,

I understand that DUA can be used to apply a QFE/SP on a pre deployed XPE
image. But I am not sure how to do it. Do i need to know each and every
file/settings that has come as a part of the QFE/SP and prepare a script
based on that. Or QFE/SP setup executables take some commad line (which
tells the exe whether it is to be applied on the component database or the
deployed image)with which they can be directly run on the deployed image
using DUA.

Thanks and Regards,
Abhi

Abhi,

Each QEF from MS is a self executable zip file. You can open this self
executable file using WINZIP and extract all the files.
There also would be readme file or html file which will describe all the
files which will be be modified by that QEF.

Hope this will help,
-Ajay

Hi
Iam using Basic "TCP/IP Networking Component "in my Image .
Can anybody guide me ..how to configure "Static IP Information " on this
component.

Ref: of "TCP/IP Networking component " says that ..

There are no Configurable settings for this component .....

You must configure static IP information at run time using the network
connection properties for the connection you want to customize .

Iam trying to minimize my application as much as possible ..

Pls explain this if someone already done this ...

Thanx in Advance
Sagar

Please search the Google Group archives, it's been asked and answered there
plenty of times. Search for "Static IP". I recommend saving the link below,
it's very handy. People have been using netsh and its components, I believe
someone even created a batch file to do this during RunOnce.

Yep, that would be me. I think I uploaded it to xpefiles.com, but if I
didn't, erm, I will.
