i am using micro soft word 2003.
i hav to apply different numbering formats to the same heading level (say
heading 3)
for example.. i have to apply 16.1.1 to heading level 3 in one section.
ans 16.2.1 to heading level 3 in the next section.
regards,
Basha

Type numbers from the keyboard, or set up numbering using LISTNUM or
SEQ fields.

But note that if there is a pattern to numbering, you might very well
be able to set it up using autonumbering; if necessary, you can map
styles and numbering levels in an "unusual" way (you are not forced to
have Heading 1 at level 1, Heading 2 at level 2, etc.). See
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numb...Numbering.html.
