Applications wanting internet access

Hi,

I have norton security. There are 3 applications that
would like access to the internet. I am unsure whether I
should give them access.

windows update _1_1
windows update_2_1
windows update_3_1

Norton security has put them at medium risk. It also says
the application file could not be found. This application
does not have a digital signiture or the signiture is
invalid.

It shows windows update on there as well, as low risk,
and from known company Microsoft corp.

Does anyone know what these applications are, and if I
should be worried about them?
