Applications terminating wireless network

Hiya,

I'm working on setting up a wireless home network, using
a Linksys BEFW11S4. I've got a PC up and downstairs,
both running XP Pro. The upstairs PC is connecting
wireless, while the downstairs one is directly connecting
to the router. A broadband connection runs into the
router, just sharing the connection - in theory.

The downstairs one works just fine. Upstairs, however,
doesn't. It sees the network connection, and it sees the
broadband. I can use it to browse the internet via IE
6.0, or run Outlook Express, but whenever I attempt to
run any (as far as I know) other application that
connects to the internet, it loses the signal and I have
to do a complete reboot of everything in the network to
get it working again. Tested applications include
Windows Media Player, Warcraft III, Trillian Pro, Norton
LiveUpdate, and a handful of others. I've dug through
the knowledge base both here and at the Linksys website,
to no avail. Anyone have any ideas? Much appreciated.

Justin
