10 days ago I purchased HP pavilion dv9000 with vista home premium
preinstalled+norton internet security and trial office.
problem:
when i open up to 8 tabs in IE and up to 4 documents in Acrobat (or instead
of IE MS Word can be open with 3-4 documents) and i try to run an additional
application it just does not fire up, despite in most cases i see process
running. I canno even use right click, since a context menu does not appear
too. If i close one or more windows, then i am able to run a new application.
Several times I saw a message "out of recourses", but it is impossible since
hardly 50 % of RAM is used and I have 2 GB. I even increase a size of the
pagefile. It did not help.
I run in standard user account, with all security options enabled, +
antivirus+windows defender + firewall. Nothing can enter the system without
password. I have DEP default setting. I found in application log error
0x0000005 for software as SigmaPlot, but DEP is not enabled for all
applications so it is strange for me.
Vista is OEM, so MS does not support directly, HP support was worthless, all
standard procedures about temporal files and defrag i perform regularly. So
please help, it is impossible to work with computer in this manner... I have
never had this kind of problem in any OS.
Thank you in advance
