Turns out that I only used one of the Registry edits in the registry file
you referenced:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced]
"NoNetCrawling"=dword:00000001
I only changed the value of this key, rebooted, and like magic, the problem
has disappeared.
