Hi someone please help!!!!
I have loaded latest MS upgrades & have XP Pro 2002 version.
Recently (in the last 3 months) i have not been able to open word or excel
or any MS application by double clicking on the file. The only way i can oepn
it is to open excel first then open the file. In Excel i can no longer use
query from within excel.

Did you try making new shortcuts to see if that is the problem? If
available, try doing a repair on MS Office (add remove screen in control
panel) and if no luck, try reinstalling it.

If you post to an Office newsgroup, be sure to list the version of Office
you use.
