Application window control

After an application is opened, moved on the screen or re-sized, and then
closed, Windows "remembers" the applications's postion/size settings
somewhere in the registry. Windows uses this to position and size the
application the next time it is run.

I would like to configure these settings, via script, before running so they
will appear where I want them rather than where they were at last exit.

Where are the variables or keys that control this??
