I need to add the ability to update my application from itself copying from
a diskette. It is a SmartDevice application (Compact framework) that runs
under Windows CE.
Any ideas? Thank you

The principle of auto-updating is described here in this MSDN article by
Alex Feinman:-

You could modify this technique to look for updates on a storage card and
install them.
