I had something wierd happen a couple of times last night that I can't
understand. I was on my Toshiba Laptop which uses XP.
I was doing something in IE and hit a couple of keys and this square showed
up in the center of my screen about half the size of the screen that had a
bunch of Icons in it - some program icons - some document icons. It had
icons at each corner (the icon for "My Computer" was on the top left and a
large yellow star was at the bottom right - can't remember what was on the
other 2 corners).
When it shows up there is no way to access it with the mouse and when the
pointer goes behind the square it disappears.
There is a message on the bottom that says something like: "slide along the
touch pad to select a program". It then starts the program you selected and
disappears. You can then just quit the program. But that is the only way
to get rid of it.
This happened about 3 times last night and have no idea what it is or where
it came from and would like to make sure it doesn't happen again.
Anyone know what it is?
