This is a farm with 2 servers which resides in different domains.
Both servers:
Windows 2000 Server, SP4
Metaframe XP, Feature Release 2
Among several published applications, users launch "Lotus Notes".
After one of the servers in the farm joined a new domain, users cannot logon
to "Lotus Notes". All the other applications works (Excel, Word, IE etc.).
When launching the application it promts for password. After that a message
shows up: "An unexpected network error has occured". Then we have to click OK
several times before the application closes.
The Notes data folder is located on a network drive.
What we did when joining the new domain was setting the DNS pointing to the
new DC. Joined the computer to the domain. Set the user rights for each
application to "Domain Users" for the new domain.
But the strange thing is; When the server in the new domain is rebooted, ONE
logon to Notes works. When we log off and then on again, the error is back.
We also tried to copy a users homefolder to a local disk on the
terminalserver and point the data-directory from notes.ini to that path. Then
it suddenly works!
So the problem is related to the connection between the terminalserver and
the fileserver in some way...
