Application Log Properties

Has anyone ever encountered the settings on the properties
of the application log changing? For example, I set the
properties to "Overwrite events as needed", but then the
next time I terminal into the server it has changed back
to "Overwrite events older then x days". Has anyone seen
this behaivior before? We have several 2000 Servers and
this is the only one that shows this type of behavior.
