Papa John...I did see your site...and I did what you said...if you would have read the post you would have seen that I had my acceleration down to absolutely nothing and the stupid program still froze everytime I touched something. Why cant Microsoft come out with some kind of update so that this program works with direct x....?? Im about to toss the program out the window! I do not have the file that you said to rename...that file is not in directx 9. So, that is not causing the problem. It must be something else

Is there any support people out there that can let us know what the deal is?

Maybe you're not reading the full page.... it has 18 potentially problem
files listed, not just the one. And they can be anywhere on your hard drive,
not in a Direct X folder. And the acceleration change testing should be to
the 3rd notch, not totally off.

If that page doesn't cover it (seems to cover 99% of the cases), then use
the larger Problem Solving section, as you have different problems.

You lasted longer than the 6 hours that I did the first day I tried MM2....
but I came back later.

As difficult as it is for some, my attempts to assess how the rest of the
world is doing with MM2 shows that most don't have problems. But that
doesn't make it any easier for those with the issues.

For me, getting over the hurdles was worth it in the long run.... I tried
other software, as many as I could, and just kept coming back to MM2, even
with the issues involved. But I can't blame anyone for going to something
else if they find what works for them.... I'd just prefer they were
motivated to get more features, rather than being frustrated with MM2. It's
supposed to be fun.

Microsoft is working to make it better.... but I don't know the schedule.

Papajohn...

welp....I made a major blonde mistake and broke my motherboard so I had to go and get a new tower. Awesome machine...put my old hard drive in and my memory stick...were talking 3 mega hertz whatever and like 240 ram and a gig of memory....can you freakin believe mm2 still crashes...but I think I solved my problem...i created a second user account and so far soooo good. *crosses fingers* It still freezes and stuff, but I can just about complete a project before it does that and I didnt have to change my acceleration or anything.....pretty cool. It may be one of the programs I am running, or the ram that is causing the problem. Takes alot to do the videos that I do. who knows. I just bought a new program called vision explosion...have to install it and check it out....I love mm2 features though. We will have to see!! Will keep you informed

Thanks again for all your help.....
