Application errors after last updates....

I'm also getting undefined "application error" crashes after last weeks
updates. I have to open ie6 two or three times until it goes away. I never
had this problem before. I'm hesitant to uninstall the updates - I get a
warning that other programs might not work if I uninstall. I've learned
from experience that disastrous things can happen when installing or
uninstalling. At least my system is still working and this bug has forced
me to try Firefox (which works without crashing) but I miss ie6, which I
had gotten used to. I'm also hesitant to upgrade to ie7! So I guess I'm
stuck until another update fix is released. Unless someone has a
suggestion...

Hi Rob,

Turn off "Third party browser extensions" on the Advanced tab of Internet
Options.

If that works check the vendors of your toolbar addons for any updates which
may address the latest updates.
It could also be that the latest patches have addressed security issues that
some of your addons may be using. You may have to uninstall these.

Regards.

That was easy. No more application errors....The only add-on I had on
the toolbar was Acrobat 8.1, which I can live without. Right-clicking a
page still allows me to save it as a pdf.

Thanks.
