Every time I boot up my computer I am getting an Application Error message
concerning winsys32.exe. Application error Oxc0000005. It tells me the
application failed to initialize and to click ok to terminate the
application. I have to do this twice in fact because the message re-appears.
How do I get rid of this inconvenience and the assurance that am important
application is not being truncated?

My XP Home doesn't have a file named winsys32.exe. I appears to be a
virus from what little I read about it.

Thank you Elmo for taking the time to give me this link. I read the items
and, as they indicated, deleted the two instantces of winsys32 that showed up
when I did a search. Now I am getting a message every time I start my
computer, that tells me "Windows cannot find 'C:\Windows\inf\winsys32.exe'
Make sure you typed the address correctly...."
I suppose it does not really matter that much. But is an irritant. I feel
I would be better rid of it.

The malware was removed, but the reference to the file was not removed
from the registry.

Click Start, Run, type REGEDIT, click OK. Press the Home key, press F3,
type the name of the file into the search pane. Click "Find Next", and
when located, delete the reference to the file. Press F3 to continue
the search.

You can click File, Export, and save the entry to the Desktop. If you
remove it and there's a problem, double-click the .reg file you exported
to the Desktop and it'll be added to the registry again. You can create
a restore point before editing the registry too.

Search your registry for the key and delete it.
