Application error 0xc000005

PC is running Windows 2000 Pro, connected to ADSL via modem/router
Internet Explorer 6.0 has started to generate the following:-
Application Error 0xc000005, and will not open.

Any suggestions appreciated.
Thank you

is it spyware related? could problem arise through file sharing software?
have run various anti0-spyware programs

Go to Start | Run and type
regedit
and press <Enter>.
In the left column navigate to
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RPCKDM]
and highlight it. Right click it and select Export, giving it a name you can
remember. Then right click it again and select Delete.

That fixed the problem
