I just installed Visual Basic.Net 2003 in a PC ( Windows XP SP2) at work in
order
to create a windows application using Softwire to collect data from a couple
of
instruments in our lab from a DAQ board.

When I tried to deploy the application (that is by adding a project) the
only icon available under the Templates pan was the Setup Project. But I know
I should have available the following ones as well:
Web Setup Project
Merge Module Project
Setup Wizard (the one I need)
Cab Project

I would really apreciate any input regarding how to get the missing icons
available.

Thanks

Hi,

Unfortunately VB.Net 2003 does not contain all the features of
VS.Net 2003 pro or higher. You need to upgrade to vs.net pro to get those
project templates.

Dear ken,

I heard there's not an upgrade available for the standard version and that I
have to by the full version. Is this true? I just need that "Setup Wizard "
or a way to deploy the application whithout it.

Thanks for your input,

Aldo
