I'm not sure if this is where I should post this, but here goes. I work at a public school with 2900 students and we use Windows 2000 Server. We use roaming profiles so students & faculty can log in from any computer and access their desktop and personal files. The problem I have is with the preferences in Microsoft Office Programs, especially with young users. For training purposes I have them all set up the program view the same way, i.e. toolbars, view type, etc. However, whenever there is a problem with a students profile and it needs to be reset. They lose all of their preferences. Is there away to set up the application data preferences on Windows 2000 server so every user gets the same view? Also, I would like to set the preference once and then when the user accounts are created have them use these preferences, is this possible? Thank you.

This might be a better question for one of the Office newsgroups. I have no
idea where they same their preferences. Could be in application data.
Maybe a registry hive. I dunno.

What kind of profile resetting are you doing? Is redirected application
data a solution?
