Hello,

i´m on the application compatibility toolkit beta. They have the info on the
homepage on connect, that a beta will be available on May, 23rd.

Does this also include access to the Vista beta? Of course I´ve not only
signed up to this beta to get Vista but it would be a great goodie?

No I don't think it does. I believe they're trying to coinside it with the
public beta release of Vista.

I´m quite a little bit disappointed about this. What´s the sense of testing a
application compatibility toolkit if you aren´t even able to check if the
system which was declared as compatible by the toolkit is really compatible?
Is this beta just about running some ACT agent on all available systems and
sending the data back to MS?

Think about it - only going on rough guess work because I'm not involved in
the ACT beta - however by now they'll be in the "beginner" stages of the
beta, enabling the users to get their heads around the actual application.
Once Vista comes out publically (in the next few days apparently...) you'll
be able to use it with that as well.

Can't really think what else you can check compatibility with either... I
mean, Windows Server 2003 is pretty much XP so that's fine... just stick
with it )
