Application close when locking desktop

I use RDP to connect to several wk2/2k3 servers. All have the latest
SPs and HFs. I have an issue that applies to only one w2k server. If I
lock the desktop using either the Windows Security option from the
start menu or a lock workstation shortcut, all running applications
close. I only have this issue on one of 8 servers. I've compared the
TS configuration with the other servers, no differences. I'm hoping
someone has either experienced this or knows of how to fix it...

any help is appreciated...
