Periodically the following message appears above my windows defender Icon in
the lower right tool bar. Note the windows defener Icon does not show up down
there in my tool bar untill the following message appears along with a green
light of some sort. Here is what it says! An application registration change
was made for a known application file C;\Program Files\Windows
Defender\MpCondRun.exe. Do I need to be concerned or is this the norm? I run
windows xp on a 2000 E-Machine.

Hello 150 BAKER,

This is probably happening because you have the box checked to notify you
about "Changes made to your computer by software that is allowed to run".
What you're seeing specifically is the WinDefend service updating the
scheduled scan jobs, which is nºrmªl.

For the benefit of the community reading this post, please rate the pºst.

I hope this post is helpful.

Let us know how it works ºut.

Regards
