How do I change the color of the background behind the Page Layout view in
2003 Word? I thought this would be controlled by Windows Display Appearance
with the Application Background color, but to no avail. The same
unchangeable color appears in Outlook on the Inbox or Mail headers.

In Word 2000 there is an option in Tools, Options, General to have a
blue background with white text instead of black text on a white
background.
