Application and System errors freeze XP

I have application error 1000 and system error service control manager 7000
that freeze XP. No security errors. Can't get details on errors in event
viewer because computer freezes when clicking on red X next to error. Dr.
Watson Postmortem Debugger freezes. I have tried SFC/Scannow (took 3 hours)
but it didn't help. Any suggestions would be appreciated
