Apple Cinema Display on XP - or go for Sony PremierPro?

Does anyone have experience of installing the Apple 23" display on a PC
running XP? Does this give as good a display as when it is installed on the
Apple system?

I was very impressed by the quality of the Apple display on a PowerBook
system - is this the same screen as the Sony PremierPro? Would I get as good
a result with the Sony?
