C:\Documents and Settings\name.OX163JXORENX8MZ

What would cause a string to be appended to the userid for the Documents and
Settings?

Any clues please for what to look for?

A domain user profile would be the cause.
What happens when the OS is Windows XP Home? Can the person delete the
domain user profiles and fix the problem?

If an administrator deletes the user account and then specifies that the
associated user files should not be deleted and then creates a new user
account under the same name, the computer name is attached to the new user
account and the new user files to distinguish them from the old files stored
on the desktop of the admistrator.
