I want to append records to a table with "required" fields. But it sez
validation error. If i make the fiels not required all is ok. is there any
way round this ?
Any suggestions very welcome

Well, if the fields are required, then you must put something into the
field in your Append query. It's either required - or you can leave it
out; not both!

Does your Append query in fact populate the required fields? If not...
why not?
